"Check engine soon" light is on.

Showing 3 different codes...

"0304"
"0704"
"0903"

Evap system and knock sensor all went at once? Can one be the reason for the other codes to show up?

Thanks!

Yhea, it happens some times. Fix the cheapest or easiest one first then see what happens.

I've got the same exact codes. Had them for about 5 months now. I'm replacing the knock sensor this week and see if that changes anything. If you have any ideas, let me know. I own a 97 by the way

My "Service Engine Soon" light also came on a couple of days ago. I called the dealer and they said it should go off after a few trips and that it was most likely because the gas filler cap was loose (which it wasnt). Unfortunately, its still on so I'm debating whether to take it to the dealer. I'm hoping it will just turn off. I would be interested in getting my error codes though. That would help me troubleshoot more. Are you getting them from a dealer?

you 2k+ guys who can't pull their own codes can just go to autozone and they will pull them for you for free. If you really want to turn the CEL off there is info on that in the 5th gen forum FAQ's

Hi mike, can us 2k guys get our codes? I saw the tips on how to get them, does it apply to a 2k i30(t)'s?

I got codes in my wife's car. The dealership fixed it for free because it was covered under warranty. They had to reprogram the ECU.

Regarding checking your own codes...it's much easier to go to Auto Zone. They can even "clear" it for you if you want them to. You just have to have a place to look up the different codes.

Hi, dont understand how autozone will do it for free... is that their policy or is it just if your cool with the guy? How is this service free? Is there any conditions for it being free? I just take it to autozone, say that my engine light is on, they do the work for free?

Please excuse my excitement, but The infinti dealer said it would take an hour, didnt ask if they charge for something like this.

Yes, they do it for free. It's a simple process that takes 2 minutes. They don't fix it the problem, they just tell you what is wrong. They do it in hopes you will buy the needed part from them.
