Does this car look Dropped

Im loooking to buy this car and the kid selling it kinda seems clueless. He said that this 99 max had a chip because it topped out at 140 and the for some reason the back was lowered and the front wasnt. The car has eibach lower springs and i only thought you could buy a set of four springs and the car looks lowered to me. Also im having the car check out and when the cars up on the lift how do you tell if the car has an aftermarket shocks springs and rear sway bar? Do i just look for a label or are these parts diff colors? What do you guys think? Oh and im not buying the car with those ugly *** rims im getting the stock ones with winter tires.

Def dropped, springs usally come in different colors, my H&R's came navy blue and my struts came grey...

Might be black now if he doesn't wash down there, mine are still visible... Hopefully he didn't cut the springs :chebesto: Drive the car, you'll feel it.. =o

BTW the front looks kinda dropped, not sure it looks like it still has a wheel gap I can stick my hand in.

what a small world, i almost bought this car about a month ago when it was on ebay. i was in very close contact with the seller and i agree they seemed pretty clueless. i think he bought it already modded or something because he only had a list of like half the stuff done to it (the pictures showed a lot more things done than he knew about). those door-pods for the 8 inch woofers were pretty awesome, eh? good luck with the car man, on paper its a good deal bro. -mike

The wheel gap is definitely more than I have with my Maxspeeds and mine only dropped an inch and a half. I think it's stock, but that's just my .02

You'll know for sure if you drive it, especially since Eibachs are supposed to be one of the stiffest springs out there.

the body of that car looks nice from what i see-i've always adored black max's.

As for the drop, it looks stock to me, or could be H&R's.

If the kid knows jack about it, take it to YOUR local mechanic and run carfax on it. What deal is he giving you anyways?

i asked him what he wanted for the car cause the kid and his freind kept talking about the system and i dont want to buy a 1-2k system cause i alreayd have a deck and subs and im happy. The ride felt good and stiff. The kid is going to call me sometime with an offer. I dont care for the door subs and found the lack of space from the kick panel speakers annoying. But im going to make the interior more stockish. The car came modded already last guy had a sc and took it off and dont really feel like paying more for the mods if the guy cant turn the car back to stock. Plus moddsdont really add value unless its a turbo or sc. When i have the car up ill wipe off the springs struts and try to find some color or label.

oh and you think i should try and get the rims for free and use the stock ones or if i cant get the rims the rims take the stock ones and take the winter tires off and put some all season cause i dont have any rim money and dont like the idea of rims slowing me down the other rims on the car seems to feel as they did

i would never buy a car that someone had modded or done anything to. most people who 'mod' their cars also drive them hard. i'd rather buy a car from an old rich lady or a mechanic.you know it was reasonably taken car of and not floored everyday and throw around corners....

just some advice...also be wary of owners who don't know ****.

Thats why you get it check out and drive it and get it check out by a mechinic. YOu can also say that about almost every car though cause i know my grandfather keeps getting speeding tickets. With every car you just gotta make sure your getting a good deal and the car is good.

park it near a bus stop in the rain. if you find a couple of midgets in your wheel well waiting for the bus then its not dropped.
