Car coughing - idleing bad?

A couple weeks after I got my injectors changed, my car started having problems idling. Usually it's okay, it's been happening more and more recently where the idle will start bouncing around, and even sometimes dies, unless I give it gas. It's usally at a stoplight, but happens in neutral or drive. I'm not sure what it is, but it happens intermediatly, some times getting very bad, or just coughing a little. The exhaust smells pretty strong, but I'm not sure what is wrong with it...

Did you by any chance reset the ECU that day? Maybe you forgot to turn the ECU screw back counter clockwise? Nevermind, you have a 91, not sure if you can reset your ECU with the screw or not. Wouldn't this be the wrong forum for your year?

Nah, I haven't had to look at the ECU yet -so I'm sure that it wasn't fooled with. I didn't think everyone could see that mine is 91 , but I wanted to get some of your guys opinion, see if simmilar has happened to your car, becuase not to many people in the 3rd gen could give me to much advice...

I assume you used OEM or equivalent injectors? If you used the same injectors start checking the small stuff, you would be amazed how often it is a bad connection or a fubared o-ring.

Hi

I think what you are smelling is actually unburned fuel. Check
your exhaust / converter for cloggin´. The gases usually go
back to the engine and make it stall / stop. Just keeps gettin´
worst and worst. Then, it will take like 3-4 minutes to start
again.
