did you have to modify your bumper to accomodate the oval pipe? if so, how much did it cost?
I just took it to a muffler shop here and said, "I need this put under my car with new piping for the b-pipe that is 2.5"." He just said, "Okay, I will do it."
That was it.
yeah, you do have to modify the bumper a little bit. I would recommend to just make it wider, not really much taller. The reasoning for this, unfortunately for me, is that the 5th gen does not stick up any higher than the stockie. I had a guy do it, and it looks kind of shoddy.
I would recommend to just use a rasp or file and gradually making the hole larger. If you are careful enough, you cannot even tell that it does not have paint, because it is thin....the urathane. This method may take a while, but it is better and more accurate than trying to cut through the bumper. They guy that did mine, used this little sawzaw thingy. If I would have known he was going to use that on my car before I took it to him, I would have just done it myself. He was already repairing my bumper from a fender bender, so I just let him do it. Big mistake.
Just do it yourself.
If you have any questions, just ask me.
