Brake pad question

Which type of brake pads are the best? Ex. Ceramic, Metallic, Semi-Metallic...

Also what is the difference?

Does anyone know where I can get good deals on rotors and pads? Is anyone selling some?

Thanks

For aftermarket brake components I used these retailers.
www.tirerack.com
www.shox.com

Bought Hawk HPS pads from the Tirerack & the Powerslot slotted rotors from shox.com. Nice combination, nice improvement over OEM components.

Ceramic will provide the most quiet ride along with brake lube.

I was recently recommended to go with carbon metallic - i think that's what they are - autozone sells them called performance friction (PFC) for about $34 on my 00 max. They will dust up more than ceramics, but I was told to go with them anyway. I have absolutely no noises on my recent install on the 2000.

I would vote for Raybestos Quitestop. I have not put them on yet, but a lot of people here on the .org recommend them. I have EBC Greenstuff right now, and they dust a lot, but are good. They have good stopping power, and they wear well. I have had them on for about a year now, and they are only about half worn.
