technosquare looking for 95-96 model test car for extended rev limiter

Hey, Technosquare is looking for a 4th Gen Maxima (95-96) model Maxima to work on the extended rev limiter for our cars. I would guess if you have a 97 maxima and have a 96 ecu that would do as well. If we can get a tester, they can figure this out, and everyone else with technosquare ecu's can send theirs in and have the rev limtered extended for 150 dollars.

They are located in Torrance, CA.

Danny says:

It would be nice for the car to be stock, but I'm sure there isn't many running around. So minor bolt ons, intake, exhaust, Y pipe is ok. NO Force Induction. We have to find the rev limiter which can take us anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Takes about an hour or so to setup our equipment into the car, that's why we need the car to be here for a few days if we needed.

technosquare contact info:

email: contact@technosquareinc.com

TECHNOSQUARE, Inc.

I've been trying to get this done for the last 5 months and they have my ECU for the test.

I spoke to Slammed95 and he said he wouldn't be able to leave the car there. Whoever would like to do this will have to leave the car there for a day.

At this point, I'm kind of ready to sell the ECU that Danny is doing the tests on because I'm may go another route as far as an upgrade. Plus I need to get my car back to perfect shape from letting it go the last 2 years.

All the lucky b@stards in Cali. At least I don't have to deal with emissions here. I would gladly donate my Max for a week if necessary.

Well, I sent Danny an e-mail telling him I'd offer my car, but its a 97 and its got the stock ECU. I'm sure if they really wanted to get stuff done that badly, then they could figure out a way to do a 97.

Guys, it's not a matter of getting picked. All you have to do is tell Danny that you can leave your car with him to crack the Rev Limit for Dana from Boston. He has my ECU to do the crack, he just needs a car.

We can make this happen guys.

I don't understand this.

Does the ECU has to be on Stock condition, or it has to have the basic Upgrade already?

cheston was the guy who they were supposed to use for the test car....if anyone knows him personally, can you ask him if he would donate his car....apparently, they used his new Z for a ecu test, then he was supposed to trade that with his maxima when it was done, but he picked his z up and didn't leave his maxima apparently....so if anyone knows him personally, Danny wants Chestons max for some reason..i guess because chestons is stock now which is what they want, I told them I would be down for doing it...but Danny said no cause I'm not stock!!

as long as the transmissions are matched up they could put a 96 ecu in a 97 car. i also appreciate some of you offering your cars.

this is just a fantastic mod to go along with the upgraded ecu !! new comers are welcome .. call technosquare up and tell them you are game !!

i have my ecu ready to send in for the rev limiter upgrade when this is ready ! i cant wait !!!

will anyone who has contacted technosqaure report back here to let everyone know whats going on ? i have read through the threads and see a few people have emailed or maybe called. just looking for something solid.

if others are come along who are interested , please call technosquare and let them know you are interested in using your max for a tester. this way we can make sure this gets done.

i have dealt with lots of aftermarket places the past year and technosquare is at the top of the charts with service and product. once this is finished they will have one HECK of a product.

i can vouch for my ecu, when i put it in the maxima after a few miles the car flat out HAULS !

with the rev limiter I will be able to send my ecu back to them for 150 dollars and have it back in only a few days. Which then means MEVI time.

This is just going to open another door for enthusiasts all over who want more performance out of the maxima. I know I am hoping to see 13.9 with my technosquare upgraded ecu + extended rev limiter and MEVI. Which is awesome for an ALL MOTOR maxima. Presently, im sitting at 14.1 with the technosquare upgraded ecu and US manifold.

Again, I certainly do appreciate the interest and so will 100's of other 4th Gen owners in the future !

LETS DO THIS !

I e-mailed danny two nights ago and called him today. seems like they got 3 donor cars so far. right now theyre working on a g35 and once theyre done with that they're gonna start on the maxima. he said its gonna be a couple of weeks. he said he wants an auto and a manual.....the rev limiter might be in diff location depending if you have an auto or a stick. and he said he might give me a call back in a few week when theyre ready to start on the maxima. his "might" seemed a little fishy, so i'm guessing he already has a person locked in as a donor.

California always gets the sweet deals 1st, if i was in cali id be all over this, id just slap my old airbox on temporarily. i wish florida would get some manufacturers to make things so i can test some stuff out. I hope this TS ecu works out so there can be some competition with JWT, hopefully we can see some lower prices and a push for new products.

p.s i just updated my cardomain site, be sure to click the link in my sig to check it out, leave a vote and sign me guestbook ;-)

i dunno why he told you that he really wants a stock max. i mean, i told him that i had basic bolt ons and he said "yeah thats totally fine". and i specifically asked him if he's sure about that and hes like yes. so i dunno whats up with the whole stock/non stock maxima thing.

I didn't catch this thread earlier Caesar... do they want the car as well? I do have a spare 95 stock ECU that I can send in if that's all they need.

$150 to have my ecu upgraded from the current technosquare program is not bad at all! What rev limiter is Danny thinking of placing on this new program? 7K?

6 hours is not bad to become a maxima legend. give them a call and see what they say. maybe they could put you on back up list just to make sure we can get a car up there. then again, might be to far. also you might want to see if they can use your 97 with a 96 ecu.

Guys, please read my posts so that you will have all of the info before posting. I sent Danny an ECU to mess with back in October. All he needs a car to test with. You will need to leave the car with them.

Danny would rather have you guys email him. That just a FYI.

Seems like a 2 other local people have contacted them, but I don't think they have the ECU upgrade yet. TechnoSquare would rather use an ECU that has already been modified because they won't have to give away a free board + installation, just a modified EPROM.
That's funny, I just got off the phone with him too. He's saying that the car would have to stay with them for 2 to 3 days.

yeah, i agree. So have they figured it out, and it works?? I've been holding off on the JWT in hopes of a cheaper alternative. I almost bought the technosquare ECU in the last group deal they had, but i want the MEVI, and with it i would really need a extended rev-limit. C'mon and let us know when we can get one too
