no it is not necessary. if your engine is cold, and you start up your car, your idle should be around 1500. after the engine is warmed up, it should go down to 750. it's not a big deal, i wouldn't trip.

you might of messed somthing up, the way it sounds. But it don't think you messed up so bad to were you cant just open in back up and fix what ever you did wrong.

Check to make sure nothing is loose in or around it. But you got me on that one. maybe it is the spring on the outside (left of the throdle body) that opens the throtle plate. check that out.

I've got pretty much the same situation, problem is, I wasnt the owner before the cleaning so I dont know how it behaved before that. It seems pretty normal if you ask me. If anything, I would suspect the AICV, you could try cleaning that as well, look in the how to section...

Mine was high too after cleaning the TB and the IACV. It went down after a week and it became normal after about 2 weeks. You can adjust the idle with the screw, but I didn't want to mess around with it

After the cleaning, the car used to start up 1300-1400 cold and now it's down to 1100. It would idle at about 900 and now it's around 750

cool kinda hope mine will drop back down 2 750. but after cleaning it and putting on a few new grounds it doesn't bounce around at all wherever it decides to idle at.
