alternator whats wrong just chnged it

alternator whats wrong just chnged it

i changed my alternator now theres a squeaky noise when turned on..dunno if its my belt again cause i went back to shop to getit fix and its happening again what can it be..oil on belt again?

Sure sounds like a belt. If it's only when you turn it on it's because the belt has to get up to speed with the various parts its spinning. I wouldn't worry a heck of a lot about it.

Get some belt dressing and spray the belt to make sure there are no contaminants on the belt of pullies. Then make sure you have the correct tension on the belts.

It really is called "belt dressing" spray. Also, make sure the squeek at startup is really coming from the belts. I know of one person who confused the starter squeal (dried up lube) with the accessory belts.
