Which color should I paint my calipers...

I just got my 300z calipers and I want to paint them either silver or black. I will be grinding down the Nissan label on them, but I can't decide on which color. My car is black.

Also which brand of caliper paint should I go with. G2 and Foliatec I cannot find in any stores, so I would have to order it online. There is a VHT kit out there that is in local stores, but I am not sure on the quality of it. Any advice or pics would be great.

I don't want to go with red. I just don't want them to stick out that much.

I have a black Max, and I painted them dark blue (folia-tec kit). It's nice, not bright like red but not completely subdued like black. I wouldn't paint them silver if you have silver rims. If your rims are dark colored silver would be ok.

[edit] www.autobarn.com has good prices on folia-tec kits and the cheapest shipping arrived pretty quickly [/edit]

don't grind the nissan down. mask it off, paint you caliper whatever color you choose and then paint the nissan something opposite.

That purely asthetic or is there some other reason. What color would you put with black for the Nissan letters?

My Ride is majestic blue and I`m leaning toward the silver or a lighter blue. The blue looks good on the black car also. Red does stand out though if that is what you want, go for it.

mines were blue, it clashed and looked cheap IMO, I just repainted them to black and it looks really clean, I also like how skiboarder72's look. Flat colors are better b/c you dont really want your eyes drawn to the calipers when you look at the car.

Black because its more functional. Black radiates heat better than any other colour.

That's good to know. I think I am going to go with the black and probably the G2 kit, but there are two colors of black. Satin Black and Glossy Black anybody have any knowledge on the best color of black?
