Look who finally got some bass ***PICS***

Please excuse the wires. I'm working on making a cover to frame out the amps and cover the wires, but the system is finally installed. Ant (ny96max) spent hours yesterday installing it all and it came out great. I won't be able to put the cover in for a week so these are just preliminary pics. The bass is about 100x more than what I need but it looks pretty and should come in handy at shows

(2) 12's, (3) 400w Amps and (2) 1 Farad Caps.

Gonna be nice having something to show off in the trunk this show season.

Any thoughts?

That is pretty slick. I would like to see if with the covers though.

Great work either way!

The cover is already cut and fitted, just needs to be carpeted and I'm thinking about adding some plexiglass to it. It will be very clean once its done.

not a big fan of audiobahn or chrome. Atleast it looks like you got enough power to run it. Id be concerned about the box tipping over too unless you got it bolted down somehow. Lookin forward to seeing the completed job......

Looks mint!

Those Audiobhan amps are nice as well, I helped install one in my friend's car. I like how they gave white gloves to wear when handling the amps!

Question tho, you can't use your trunk anymore if you had to carry a few suitcases or other large stuff in it can you? Or can the box and amps come out easly?

look aight. When the wires are covered itll look better. Maybe some kind of wall to go around the box would look cool. I thought you were going to do fiberglass?....an even more "custom" setup gives you more points at shows, but to each his own... I could use some more fiberglas myself...

Reason I went with Audiobahn is all looks. I am not a fan of trunk systems, but it looks pretty and is the main thing my car was missing. Comparing the sound of this system to the sound of many other systems I have heard, it is right up there. Very loud and very clear, plenty of adjustability and to my hears, doesnt fall short of the systems I have heard.

I decided against the fiberglass mainly because I didn't feel like putting in the long hours to do it right and I didn't feel like paying a local guy I know a grand or two to do it for me.

I wasn't going for top of the line stuff, I was going for looks. The symmetry of the amps and caps and the blue light reflecting off the chrome looks real sharp. The box is bolted down securely to the floor which I made out of 1/2" MDF. The cover is cut out of 1/4" MDF and will sit about 2" above the floor, at the top of the amps. I'll try and make a wall for in front of the box, but it seems that's gonna be tricky to get right, but I'll try.

The stuff is heavy but that doesn't matter cuz I don't drive a race car. The 19's are enough to kill any speed this car might have. Just show until a possible turbo which is still being decided upon.

damn Tony! I thought I might finally get something before you did. I guess my trunk will be done after yours, like every other mod. Looks good. I think it will fit your car perfect once you get those amps framed in. I give it a .

btw...my delay is FG

thats understandable. yes fiberglass takes a LONG time...i semi helped someone do mine...but the results are worth it.
