Ignition key turns only when inserted 1 way!?

Is this normal with all max's fellas? when i purchased my car, it didnt have the factory keys, so i went to the dealer with my vin and they made me a set. but the key will only turn (the ignition) when its inserted 1 way. meaning its not double sided. if i put it in ignition and it doesnt turn, i have it in wrong and i need to flip it around. whats the deal?! did the dealer screwup?!

yup..........

Hopefully they made you prove it was your first. Try getting another key from them. That would be very annoying.

I got 2 OEM keys when I got the car used and they're both double sided. I made 2 spares and those are double sided too. I saw the store people make them and they did one side and then they flipped it over and did the other side.

Fellas, the key IS double sided, that isnt the problem... the problem is that even though its double sided, it only turns when inserted one way! and the other side wont turn.

Then maybe it wasn't done correctly... Go back and have them make you another one or get your money back
