OK, at last, help me decide - tokico illuminas or Konis???

I'm pairing up H&R springs with either konis or tokico illuminas. Please help me decide. I know both are good quality shocks and I've read about them here: http://maxmods.dyndns.org/index.php?MaximaShocks

Post you opinion and tell me which ones you'd prefer...and why

Thanks

Illuminas, no question.

The Rear Konis have to be totally removed form the car to be adjusted. That just sucks.

If you are going H&R, it seems you are interested in preserving some comfort. The Illuminas are regarded as the most comfortable option. I have the Illuminas and am very happy, and I also like the ease of adjustments. Plus, they didn't require ANY modification/fabrication to install. Very straight forward.

i would go with Konis, disregarding the adjusting...they are better shocks from what i have heard...

To be honest tho i would choose either...i would go with KYB AGX, they are waiting in my closet AND there is a GD in the GD section selling em for 370 shipped...i just got mine like a week ago..very happy

Sorry if i changed the subject, but just thought you should know, if you planing on buying them new, it might save you some money to go with the KYBs?

just my .02

To ALL: thanks for the replies

XeroX: GD with $370 shipped? Illuminas are far superior to KYB AGX from what I've heard and they are $425 shipped - $50 difference is worth it. You must understand that I live in Chicago, not Cali, where it gets -30 F in the winter. Many sources specifically say that KYB AGX get extremely harsh and rigid in cold weather, which may cause problems.

Illuminas are awesome shocks! but i realli love good handling, maybe the H&Rs were too soft a spring for me, eibachs may have been a better choice, setting 5 seems like it gives me some great handling but the adjustability means i can change it back to prettimuch stock ride quality with much better handling, H&Rs and Illuminas will probably be perfect for u
