The bulbs have two filaments in them, your low beam is just blowed. Replace them both at the same time because its a sure sign the other one will blow right after.

4th Generation maxima headlights use 9004 bulbs. These are Dual filament bulbs. Which means your low beams use filaments totally separate from your highbeams. That being said you can have one blow out whilst the other is fine. Looks to be whats happening with your headlight now. All you need is a new bulb.
