There is nothing that you can't do to a car if you have a deep enough pocket.

most powerful vg30e(t) that i know of is in a z31. the guy got the vg30e from a pathfinder, put a nice turbo setup on it, and i believe is pushing nearly 500 hp at the wheels. i'm pretty sure he did this on a stock bottom end which is nuts. so, the engines will handle a lot of power, just depends on how much money you're willing to put into it.

Word to the wise is get a good transmission made custom if you're looking for that kind of power because the maxima's trannies will go out in no time.

lol those autos will BLOW right after you put it in drive, the 5speeds will most likely blow on a hard enough shift with 500 fwhp. thats nuts but i love it mmmmm turbo...

gowirelessnj.... what the hell are you talking about?? our trannies will blow with a hard shift with stock power!

they do break with stock power though which sucks. sometimes they'll last a little while but if you drive on it hard they won't. i'm still waiting on the quotes from ipt for the stronger bearing but it seems e-mail, their forum, and calling them doesn't work so i'm kind of screwed. i'll try giving them another call tomorrow and hopefully then i'll get some prices.

You're going to need a new tranny if you want to pull serious horsepower. Also, Its going to be a bear redoing the engine and getting the turbo. Good Luck!!
