I got this done a few days ago...seemed like a lot of imperfections. They told me that they should go away in a week or two but I am kinda skeptical. I dont have any experience with tint so I am not sure if this is normal or not.

This is 17% all the way around, cost me like $150 or so.

Yes, it will go away. You're lucky. The weather is warmer now. I had mine done in the winter and it took 2 weeks for the moisture to go away.

 

thats nuts take it back. i had mine done and there wasnt even the tiniest bubble in it. I guess its just the caliber of the installer. if my car looked like that after a "professional" did it id make him redo it or refund my cash. seriously those bubbles look big and should have been removed when the tint was being installed and still wet.

 

thats not even moisture, the moisture is the little tiny bubbles that go away after a few days, I really dont think those will go away

 

Crap job. Wait a week but you'll definitely be taking it back. What brand film do they use? Hopefully you have a good warranty for down the road. BTW, DIY jobs look better than that!

 

Wow, how does that go away? Looks almost like dirt was trap under the film. I would take it back and make them redo it right.

Yeah man I knew I wasnt the only one that thought this was crap. This sucks cause someone recommended me to this place, they supposedly do good work.

I dont remember the brand of tint that they used...not llumar. I can get a lifetime warranty for 20 bucks if I want but I have like four weeks to decide if I want the warranty or not.

D*mn, I really dont wanna go back and sit there waiting for those fools to do this over again.

 

Thats the ****tiest tint iv seen, no offense. It looks like its been on the car for 10 years. Dont let this guy get away with a half *** job, take it back.

 

take it back, i wouldnt have them re-do it, id just want my money back and would take my buisness elsewere. GOod luck man.

 

It look like $hit. I know when a tint job is done properly but those do not look like bubbles, it's not adhering it to the window. Take it back and have them do it right or get a refund.

 

go along those lines with your finger, and push the water to the edge.. make sure not to do it too rough as to mess up the tint...

Some of them will come out and some will not. Go back and get it done right. If not let us know and we'll show up with you the next day to tell 'em not to mess with the Maxima posse. Haha.

 

Well, some of the blemishes I'm guessing is just dirt/dust on the outside of the window, but the poor edging, bubbling, etc., particularly on the back window is pretty bad. The sides are easy for anyone to do but the back requires a professional to do right. Looks like they can't even do the sides looking right...and the back is a joke. Although the shop *may* have done good work for others, maybe they got one of their new hires or trainees to do your tint. Did they properly prep the glass?

 

them huge ones wont go away, on my 626 i had one big one but the rest was fine, and it popped like a pimple, left a little hole in my tint.. never took it back since it was only one and it wasn't noticeable but you have a pimple mountain on those tints!

 

I have the samething....but a little less bubbles....on the small window.

 

When I got my tint dont there was only 1 bubble... oh yeah it went away, but damn he has so many... I would think its out of the norm.

 

I don't think that you should be bummed. I think that you should be p!ssed to the highest degree of p!sstivity. I don't see any way that will fix itself. If you're lucky, the tint shop can made it adhere to the glass with a squeegee. That seems like too many defects to me.

 

How can you seriously flame someone's tint that looks good? The man asked for input and that's what he's getting? It's obviously a crappy job on the rear glass. Looks like a rush job.

 

Uhh no it's not, I've had several friends who had tint jobs that came out like that and they DO go away after a week or two.

 

Only time will tell. I have never seen a professional tint job turn out like that.

 

In my experience, onme of the ****tiest jobs ive seen, I doubt it will go away, that is NOT ACCEPTABLE, go back ASAP b4 they blame it on you...

Too many bubbles man. They shouldve done a better job than that. Those bubbles on the back window will in the future get bigger. Ive seen it. Not on my car but on others. That is a Crappy *** job. I would not have even questioned it. The car wouldve been back there the next day.

 

That's a craprific job man. I had SMALL bubbles in mine after they finished tinting, which went away in a week's time. I'd take it back if I were you, and complain to them. My $.02

 

That tint job is HORRIBLE.

When I got my tint, I waited about a week and there were still a few tiny tiny little bubbles on a couple windows. I took it back and they redid it, but it was not even 10% as bad as yours...sorry.

I paid $290 from a place that does all the dealers' work, so their customer service and quality is really good.

 

I only paid $138 for my tint. I guess you live in a high cost of living state. I was referred to the tinter by my dealer as well.

 

Whether the shop did a bad job or not, you shoudl still take it back in and have them squeege it again..

if it's just air bubbles, then most of it will dissappear with a few minutes with a squeege, and everything will be fine from then on.

if the shop won't even bother to do that much, then have them take it off before it completely dries and get your money back.

and YES get the lifetime warranty!!

 

They were in a hurry when putting on your tints.

 

If they had done a good job, there would be no need to "take it back in" at all. If they are unwilling to squeegee the tint, they will likely be more unwilling to remove it because that involves more work.

 

Mine when i first got it done, there was large moisture bubbles between the film and the window, but nothing like that, that looks like air bubbles in which case, they'll never go away on their own. If on the other hand it was just moisture, then it would go away. You can tell if it's air or moisture because on the outside you can't see through it like that. Get them to redo it.

definetly take it back and ask them for a REFUND. dont even bother with trying to retint it. also make sure they take it off before you leave the place. other places are GOING TO charge you EXTRA to REMOVE the tint.

 

the fingers are because they didn't shrink the tint enough before they stuck it. they might subside once they dry, but will not go away completely and on close inspection you can see they have been there. there will be a fine border around.

the small bubbles are dirt. the light gaps around the frame are because they hurried or couldn't cut.

on the whole for 150$ it's not THAT BAD. if it were a 320 job i would be screaming.

 

just take it back, i'm sure they would be willing to fix it if its their fault... i took my tint back to my shop 3 times before i was satisfied with my job since i had 1 bubble that wouldnt go away... i only paid 110 for titanium...

 

If i were you i would go make them put that **** on right. It looks horrible. It's not put on right until there is no bubbles or film that comes off the glass. That's a tint job.

Don't let them say that the bubbles will go away in a couple of days. That is the biggest bullshiit i have ever hear. I believe that once it comes out of the shop that is how it will look. period.
