how to check ECU codes on 2000 maxim? car shakes, need help!
i saw the write up on how to check the "servise engine soon" light using the ECU on the 4th gen , but the ECU on my 2000 looks different and there are two holes, how do i do it on my car?
my service engine soon light came on yesterday and car started shaking at the front, was hard to shift, i had to give more gas and clutch and felt like it lost some power. what do i do???

5th gens have a OBDII ecu, so you'll need a OBDII scanner to read your codes. You have three options:
1. buy a scanner yourself
2. go to autozone and have them pull it for you (free)
3. go to the nissan dealer and pay a $85 diagnostic fee (or free if under warranty)
