Tint Pics if ya got em

Hey guys, was wondering if anyone here has a tint that goes from one color and fades to black? If you do or know where I can see what it looks like on the max let me know.

I'm gettin my car tint on Friday and can't decide if I wanna do all black tint or the red fade to black look.

Thanx for your time.

Hey Matt,

VERY VERY NICE. I have the same car too but a year older. Would you recommend going with the red at the bottom and fade black?

A friend was able to schedule me in on Friday for tint as his shop and is charging me $140 for the fade to black look and $130 for the Black tint.

I was kinda giddy to see this thread. I, too, am getting my Max tinted tomorrow afternoon. 15% all around full-black metal-based film. $150.

Tomorrow is an exciting day for me. Getting an alignment done at Nissan in the morning, detailing the heck out of the car the rest of the day, and getting it tinted in the afternoon. (long road trip coming up...want it to be nice and ready!).

I'm not sure but, isn't it illegal to tint the whole windshield? I think you can do the banner, but the windshield itself is illegal right? And as far as I know, you can do the sides AND the back, right?

Yeah...anything bigger than 5 inches off the top is illegal in all 50 states AFAIK. The rest of the windows are legal in most states, with varying % assigned in each...from NO restrictions in Florida to 35% here in North Carolina where I live. Still, just today I got my Max tinted down to 15% with top-of-the-line, all-metal full black film The thing looks sweet x 100! Its one of those things which make you wonder how you ever lived without it. The southern heat is a killer when you have leather interior and no tint. Plus a black car with dark tint looks sweet!

BTW, the guy who did my tint was telling me that he has his windshield tinted at 50%. But I wouldn't ever do that....too risky in my book.

5% all around!! Pretty much legal in Vegas. They don't enforce it b/c it gets over 115 degrees here in the summer. You have to have tint.

We do have restrictions in FL. Its 20% up front and 15% all around in the back. I was @ a shop tryin to convince them to go 15% all around but they wouldn't do it w/a receipt and warranty. They go by the book and didn't wanna be liable. I've had bad experiences w/tint peeling before so I went w/20% all around to keep the life time warranty.

Also, I think in FL its legal to do 5% on the windsheild. I'm not too sure on that though. I know if you can get some one to install it (or anything for that matter) the cops hardley ever mess w/tint citations.

Here's some pix of my tint. Its the premire version made by Formula One. Its a metal compound and carries a lifetime warranty. Also, it changes colors in/out of light. Lots of sun = car color; night = black.

Tight maxes everyone, lata
