I just purchased a '99 SEL and it didn't come with a keyless remote BTW It's a five speed and black on black After reading some Max facts on this forum I checked to make sure the car is wired in the trunk and it is. I was going to bid for one on ebay but thought it would be better to check with the experts on this forum first. I haven't consulted with a nissan dealer yet as I'm confident the fee will be huge as most things are at dealerships with all the commissions etc... Does anyone know where I could get one new/used for a reasonable price?

ebay....just buy one there and reprogram it

 

Yeah thats what I did when my old one broke. It's really easy to reprogram it just do a search on google or the .org and you'll find the instructions. Takes about 10 seconds.

 

Ordered one tonight on ebay. Didn't have time to bid so purchased a "buy one now" for $35 + ship and hope this was a good deal and hopefully it works since it is a used remote. Kinda wierd how there are so many used remotes for sale on ebay? Maybe they rip 'em off at car auctions as this is the second used car I buy from a dealer with no remote.
