Dead Battery

Any known issues involving battery drainage? Not using the car for a prolonged period of time results in a stone dead battery. Battery is new and alternator test just fine.

battery manufactures state about a 1% daily loss of a fully charged battery in good condition. Part of it is a small parasite drain from the car-keeping the clock in time, etc.
