New car

i am currently looking for a car. i've decided that i might want to buy an old maxima 90-96 models (i haven't quite decided yet) for a as cheap as possible. i want a manual transmission and i am wanting to buy a new engine for it. i want a nice powerful engine. 250-300 horse power...maybe even a little higher? i am a noobie at this kind of stuff so i haven't quite decided exactly. please give me your suggestions and opinions on what i wish to do. thank you.

This isn't a honda Civic forum, we don't have different engines to drop in. What you need to do is stay in school and stop watching F&F all the time.

250-300HP is easy to obtain with FI. I suggest you look into 95-96 5speeds.
