how much differece dose a rear anti sway bar do? Is it worth it if I don't want to lower my car? And where can I get one for cheap?

I think the RSB rocks!!!! Definately worth the money to get it. I bought mine from Courtesy Nissan (www.courtesyparts.com). You will have to do a search on sway bar or ADDCO. They are $120, but shipping is a little expensive because of size and weight. Took like 10 minutes to install. Afterwards I would say it is a 50% improvement over stock if not more. My car rolls atleast half as much as it did in turns.

Nobody says that it handles like a rear-wheel drive car.

The RSB is a good investment if you can get one for like $100 shipped. I found one from the classifieds. I got mine from i90hpkilla, and Have been totally pleased. It is a lot more fun to drive now that it doesn't lean so bad it wants to spill you out of it in every turn.

I don't have any lowering springs or struts on my car right now. I like the RSB, FSTB setup.

If you're concerned about handling, get shocks/springs first, then rims/rubber to meet your driving needs (drag/auto-x). subframe connectors probably do more for handling in the corners than a rear sway bar as well. if you have excess $$ sure get the bar, can't kill ya.

Get the rsb...no question. I a brand new Progress RSB from slammed95 install for 100 bux picked up. I have a heavy a$$ custom box in my car, and it handled like crap before(fyi by suspension is completely stock besides rsb). The rsb makes a HUGE difference in handling. It locks up your rear and cuts lean and understeer noticeably. The weight is neglient compared to the increase in handling. I compare rsb to y-pipe for bang for bux ratio.

Actually I have seen a lot more useless replies. I mean I did back my opinion up with some facts of what I saw. But hey you know what they say opinions are like..........

i think if u have the stock suspension setup then the rsb is the way to go but i swapped out my suspension and my car handles way better then any rsb car that ive ever been into. so i saw to swap the whole suspension out but if thats not the route u wanna go then but a rsb.

I dont see how anyone would say the rsb is a useless mod. Granted, you will see better results on a vehicle with more of a suspension upgrades such as springs/shocks but you should notice an improvement even without.
Now the RSTB I feel is a waste.

I think the rear sway bar is a very worthwhile mod. It might be the best bang for the buck in the suspension department. I put mine on a few weeks ago when my suspension was still stock. I was skeptical that I would feel any difference. I was wrong. It made a huge difference. My car had so much body roll before installing the bar. Afterwards, there was a big difference. Totally flattened out the body roll, turn in was quicker, and less understeer.

to this mod.

+1
I think the RSTB can be done without, but I like it anyway. It just firms up the steering a little, esp in heavy acceleration. However, like flavor said, it is something that is not necessary.
RSB, on the other hand, is necessary for your car to feel tight.

From what I heard the RSB has less of an effect if your car is already lowered, there is almost no need for it. If you have no suspenion mods at all the RSB will be very noticeable.

Well, speaking from experience the RSB made a a noticeable difference when I installed it and Im on Sprints with KYB's.
On the highway when I switched lanes at speeds of 65-80 the car was more responsive and felt tighter with less body roll.
Another good ivestment are the FSB poly bushings.

The things you mention WILL improve handling. But it does nothing to change the understeer bias the maxima has built in. Only the RSB has the ability to change the frt to rear handling bias(ie.. more toward neutral). Plus your suggestions cost quite a bit more than the rsb.

one way to answer your question would be to physically try it out yourself. trial and error.
