Cons of going with Brembo Xdrilled rotors?

Hey all, I am totally new to the area of performance Braking and was hoping someone could help.
I have a contact in wich I can get a pair of Brembo Cross drilled rotors for a very good Price, I think? ( approx. $150bucks Canadian for the front set ).

Whay kind of experiances have all of you had with Xdrilled rotors on the front end of your cars?
Is there any dis-advantage with buying these types of brake rotors?

Any information you may be able to pass along would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

i think any cross drill could crack because of the holes u might consider slotted/dimpled instead of cross drilled up to you though.......

You are paying more $$ for something that does nothing to help the performance/longevity of your braking system

Cons = cost more than non drilled rotors, create more noise than non drilled rotors, increased pad wear over non drilled rotors, tend to fail more than non drilled rotors.

Save your money...

Hey Jeff,92, Great article, Thanks
That has helped me make a decision....
For now I think I am going to steer clear of the xdrilled rotors as for me it is truly overkill anyway...

As for the rust on the stock rotors, just buy a can of tremclad and go nuts.
I painted mine silver and they look awesome. In fact I painted the claipers over a year ago and they still look good....
I will try and post some pics soon
Cheers

yeah, great article, Jeff92se.
I mean, nothing else really needs to be said.
That is enough for me anyway.
