What power gains should i expect?

What power increase should i expect if I get a CAI and a full exhaust including y pipe, straight pipe and cat back (even though I will have no cat)

Thanks,
Robert

~20-30hp...This is all hypothetical of course.
You really should get a before-mod dyno and then get another after all the mods.

yeah, that would be a good call.
Then, you could know for sure how much power you got, and you could give out information on exactly what you have and how much it brought.

It should give you 20-25 hp total.
Like MrEous said, it is hypothetical.
I would not get a straight pipe. It does not really add more than like 1/2 hp and that is money you could use on something else. Also, just get custom piping from cat back at a muffler shop. 2.5" for like $50. I got a 5th gen muffler and I like it a lot. No use spending a lot of money on something that does not really give you any gains. The muffler gives maybe 1hp in an ideal situaion.

I did the same for really cheap, took it to the dyno, 187 at the wheels, so a noticeable difference. Definitely made the car much quicker.

have you ordered a y-pipe yet?
What are you waiting for if you have not?

Does the 5th Gen muffler cover up the raspy rice sound of the y pipe?

btw those 20-25WHP are only peak gains... u'll be better off calculating the total WHP gain across the entire RPM under the curve. that's where the real stuff is at.

yeah, the 5th gen muffler does a pretty good job covering up the raspiness of the y-pipe. I just get a little growl from it now.
