both are cold air
Very untrue...the Injen and others of the same design are pulling air from directly behind the radiator. The temperature rarely dips below 90, iirc.

EDIT...read the following link for the experiment.

If you don't want to be drilling any holes in your fender, then get the injen. If that doesn't bother you, then the place racing is a true in the fender CAI

I have what is considered a HAI, hot air intake...but according to the readings from my link above it has cooler readings than the Injen.

(basically a cone filter is where the airbox used to be...)

I have the Place Racing. The HP difference between the Injen and PR is very little if any.

I like the PR because it's sounds tough being outside the engine bay, is a true CAI, and drilling 3" holes in my car doesn't bother me.

I can't say anything bad about the Injen though. They make a nice quality intake that looks and sounds great too. It's really up to you.

It comes with some pretty good instructions, that's all I used. There probably is something on here somewhere for the install, maybe check the stickies.

I haven't had any issues with it getting in the way of the fog lamp housing, not sure what exactly you are asking.

The only other thing to keep in mind with the Place Racing is the filter is harder to get at to clean, but I haven't found it to be a big problem since K&N's can go quite a while between cleaning.
