connecting exhaust 2.5 to 3inch

So i purchased the y-pipe high flow cat and b pipe from wsp and its the 2.5 mandrel bent tubing. I also purchased a magnaflow muffler. The inlet on the muffler is 3" and the tubing is 2.5 on the b-pipe. Does anyone know if the b-pipe and resonator will connect directly to the muffler. or do i need to to get some sorta connector thingy? any help would great.

Also has anyone done the whole exhaust replacement at once? y-pipe to muffler? if so how long did it take you? im planning on doing this next weekend....and ill have pics....

Thanks

Triple G

They make adapters you just gotta go fishing at some parts stores. I'd just get a muffler that would work without one if i were you.

I'd just take it to a muffler shop and have them install it. They'll make a 2.5 to 3 inch connector for you. But why 3 inch inlet on the Magnaflow?

If you have to ask........

But why the heck did you buy a Magnaflow with a 3" inlet? unless it was free, you paid extra for the 3" when you could have saved $30 and gotten a 2.5"

Just go to a local auto parts store and tell the person behind the counter you need a 2.5 ID to 2.25 OD exhaust adapter. They should go and get it for you and you should be all set.

that would imply that they can actually find something that isn't on the computer.

That's a good one.
