Time for new MAF?

I have a 93 SE DOHC and have had a problem with hesitation and some surging. I've changed plugs, fuel filter, knock sensor and set timming with little improvement. So I checked the MAF (JECS 22680 16V00 A36-000 N60) and got .6v with ignition on and .6v idling and .9 @ 2500rpm and is erratic at times. Does this sound bad and could it improve my hesitation?

have you checked your coil packs? You probably have the "famous" VE hesitation, which often times are coil packs. Especially look for cracks in the front 3 and test the rear 3, too. It seems to me that a lot of the guys who have MAF problems have the VGs, but you never know.

Did you look in the FSM for the MAF specs?

BTW, all of the 3rd gen Maximas, both VG and VE use the same MAF sensor.
