I was in accident and the impact was on the front right side of the car. Air bag deployed. The car will turn over but not start. The full pump works manualy, the car is not getting any spark from the sparkplugs and the injectors and are not getting any fuel. I think its becuase it was shut off from working automatically after an accident for safety reasons. Does the car not start becasue the airbag deployed and if so what do i need to do to get the car to start? I did change the airbag and the airbag module. So i think it works but is there something else i need to do also to get the car started? After an accident does the computer for the car automatically shut down for saftey reasons? Is there a way to check the computer in the car to see if it works? Is there a way to reset it. What else might there be wrong? After an accident does the car shut it self down for safety reasons? If so, what shuts down and how can i fix them to get the car started again?

 

did you check ALL the fuses in the car

 

There is no inertia switch on these cars that I am aware of. and as subs said have you checked all of your fuses AND Fusible links?
There's a fairly good chance that one of them blew.
BTW do you have a GXE or SE?

I had an accident several years ago. Check the "Engine Cont" fuse. Mine blew following the accident. I do not have an airbag though, if that is related to the problems you're having.

 

If I only had the time (and my car was running on 6)
I'd stop by and take a look, but no time for a trip from skokie to downers grove.

I'd look closely atthe fusible links as one is probably fried.
