What Springs Should I run on 20's?
I have a 1997 Maxima and I currently have 20's on it. I want to lower my car so the gap goes away, I also have a heavy sub box in the trunk. Does anyone know which spring set will work with my car, and not rub everytime I go over a bump ? anyone know of people that lowered their 4th gen on 20's?? pics would be helpful thanks

Wow, looking at that, I dunno if you can lower without rubbing. What size tires your running? You can probably pull off Eibachs or H&R's...but they look like they may rub either way....

I was thinking I could possibly do the Eibach Pro Kit on it.
The Eibach kit is probably gonna be your best bet...that is only what, a 1" lowering? I can't remember exactly. With 245's...wow, that's really cutting it close. Now If they were 235's...you'd probably have less chance of rubbing. Either way, it's really tough to call.

i have teins ... but with a back passenger it rubs on bumps.. so i was looking into getting my fenders rolled in the back..... with that sub in ur trunk, you'll run into the same problem.. so like the others said.. maybe eibachs or h&rs...
with the teins, it looks great with 0 gap.... just the rubbing issue ur gonna have to take care of...

The only way to correct the problem is to get coilover kit. What coilover does is allow you to adjust the ride height. You can go cheap and get Ground Control coilovers +AGX strut or if you have $1100 to spare, go for true coilover kit such as JIC FLT-A1 or FLT-A2 (height/dampening adjustable) at $1600
Good luck

I agree with gsumax, with those 20's and eibach's you'll probably get a rid of some of the fender gap, but those wheels will make the car probably sit stock ride height, considering from your pic, your car seems a little higher than stock now. Angie's idea of coil-overs aren't bad, but they are pretty spendy....then again, you forked out money to have 20's. Either way, you got some decisions to make!

well if your using your stock struts use Eibachs or h&r, if you are getting some kyb agx or koni's you can use sprints that your fronts will drop just perfect and the rears will tuck in just a lil bit

Damn, you live in AZ, and I've never seen your Max before? Odd.....
Anyway, Eibachs (front only) and have someone look at the rear (cuz we don't know if it will rub or not from that pic), someone needs to take a look at the inner rear fenderlip, you may have to get it rolled (with a baseball bat).

Oh, I should've known, I knew those rims look familiar.....LOL....
HI JUSTINA!!!!
The white Nissan bug bit you hard huh?
As for the springs, go with Eibachs or Tein H-Techs (Front only), until you have someone look at the back lip....
