Painting brake calipers

anyone painted their stock brake calipers? I wanna paint em red, does it look good on a sterling mist max? anyone have pics of theirs? Also i read about the laquer and then theres the spray paint. I think the spray paint would be a lot easier but does it look as good or last as long??

thanks

check my page too i have the sterling mist with red calipers. here's a tip...if you don't plan on taking the calipers off when you do this, get some plastic shopping bags from the grocery store and wrap them around the rotor. they work great. be sure to use lots of brake cleaner and a stiff bristle brush to clean em first, and don't be afraid to use several coats of paint. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/334291 i will take some closeups tomorrow. enlarge some of the pics and you can see it better.

Just use some good caliper paint like G2 Brake Caliper Paint. It hardens up and leaves it looking good.

I did mine in black. I used G2 caliper paint also. It's tough, brushes on (so you don't have to mask anything) and looks thick and shiny....well worth it. No pics yet but it looks good.

yes agree with above. Red is ugly/rice, ESPECIALLY if you are just painting your stock calipers. I mean, do you really want to call attention to your wimpy little OEM calipers. Now if you have a BBK, then "maybe" red is OK (I still don't like it though)
