iridium ngks or plat ngks

iridium ngks or plat ngks

When i brought my max it had bosch plat plugs I put iridium plugs in it after a few months, but now i am thinking of going to the plat ngks. what is recomended?

Plat NGK are OEM specification.
I would only use NGK in there.
I would recommend that you use NGK coppers though. They are just as good, if not a little better spark(copper conducts better than platinum), and they are 1/3 the cost. You will have to replace them every 30K miles rather than every 60k miles with the plats. The plats are like $12 each though, and the coppers are under $2.

Here is the stock for the coppers if you want them:
BKR5E-11. You have to ask for them specifically or they will not know what you are talking about. In all the computers at the stores I went to, all they had in there for the Maxima were the plats. That is whey you have to tell them the stock number.

I agree with everything Brudaddy said. I went from plats to coppers with NO degradation of performance. Also use the coppers if you run nitrous.

Don't waste your money on either. Use coppers, they are proven to have a better spark. Plats and Iri's are mearly plated copper for longevity. Coppers only last like 20k, but oh well, they are cheaper and work better.
