I want to find out what is the best spring/shock combination for a comfortable ride. I realize that I am going to lose ride quality but I still want my maximas' ride to be bearable when driving long distances.

And while I am asking, which rims shold I go with? The Mille Miglia Evo or the ROH RT. If anyone has pics, let me know.

The closest thing to factory ride would prolly be H&R/Tokico's. BTW, nice interior, are those the seat covers? Where did you get them from and how much?

Thanks for the info. Oh, and my car was completely re-upholstered by classic soft trim. The car came this way so I can't give you a price. But go to www.classicsofttrim.com. They will do any combination of colors.

I have the H&R/Tokico combo, and I do a lot of distance driving. The ride is more than bearable. It was actually an improvement over my worn out stock struts, until I put my rims on. Now it is a bit harsher than stock, but still acceptable.

What about the Eibach/Tokico combination?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

ST's ride even nicer than H&R's, but their drop is minimal. You can cut them like mine, but my ride gets bad when I pack people in the back, but the normal ride quality is pretty nice.

I'd say keep away from that. The Eibachs are rough, they will wear a set of tokicos out in about 10k miles. Just ask Cheston if you don't believe me. Eibach and Koni is the only way to go.

Hmm...Are Koni's more expensive? How long will they last?

Thanks!

I love the ride on H&R/KYBs. Now the car sits lower, but the ride isn't harsh at all. The car stays way flat even when you turn hard.
I don't know how they would behave with 16" or 17" wheels, though. I kept my stock wheels for the "sleeper" look.

My headlights were Matrix bulbs, they kept going out. Now I have PIAAs.

My fog lights are Hella Yellow Stars 85W. But go with the 55W version. If your fog lights get hit by cold water the glass will shatter if you have the 85W bulbs. (thermal shock)

I disagree. I've had my Eibach/Tokico suspension for 50K miles and it still works well. No plans to replace the dampers any time soon.
