my hood latch has been giving me problems lately, i pull on the cord and it doenst always release the hood. Do i need to replace the latch and the cable? or is there a simpler way of fixing this?

C, make sure the latch mechanism under the hood is moving freely, if not clean it w/some brake cleaner, then spray w/lube, work it by hand to get it loose. try a few times to see if it's free. to me no question is stupid , if you don't know the answer!
