I have a friend with a mustang. Any ways, he has some wheels with slicks on them. They are 10" wide. Can I use these when I go to the track?

Thanks

It'll depend on the offset but 10" is pretty wide... I don't think you'll be able to turn the steering wheel fully without hitting something on the inside...

Its only for the drag strip.
Would it be dangerous to try?
I think the offset is around 40

hmm..

There is a dude here named UncleMax, and his wheels are like 10 inches wide on the rear.. maybe the front, not sure..
However, I don't think they would be good for the dragstrip, I bet they are heavy as hell, if you are doing it for traction, I'd rather get some nice light performance rims like 7-8 inches wide and throw nice tires on them... cheaper alternative is the Z wheels, 16 X 7.5.. weight: 17 or 18 lbs. per wheel.

They are only 15" so they don't weigh much. I just wanted to try them out, to see if they helped. But if it would be dangerous I think I will pass.

They wouldn't be dangerous unless they rub on something... mount them and have someone turn the steering wheel as you watch...

The other question is... Do you have that much power that require such large tires like that? You want some wheel spin... too much traction can also be a problem... won't let your engine get into the "sweet spot" of the powerband... BOG!

They might be to big for me to turn efficiently, but there is only one way to find out.
