For all who wanted to see painted sawblades,
For all who wanted to see painted sawblades,
you'll have to wait some more. I'll be done in an hour or so. One side took me 5hrs while the other one only 2hrs and both look the same, painted calipers too. They're graphite and look, dare I say, SEXY. I did a half-*** job and they still turned out pretty nice. The rims had curb rash that is less visible now. Any one doing this, I suggest you buy the Aircraft stripper in the pour out can, not the spray. It's stronger, works better and won't burn your face when a wind gust comes along, OUCH still burns. Any one who has absolutely no patience like me, I suggest you don't do this. Also, the cut outs in the sawblades(the empty spaces) has some retarded clear on them cause that crap wasn't coming out at all so those areas look kinda ****ty. The surface isn't that smooth at first but the clear sort of helps it out. Sorry to keep you on your toes KEVLO.
I can't believe I'm doing this today. It's the hottest day we've had so far, around 85. Humid as a mother, on the paint cans it says not to use in humid weather, what do they know. I'm sweting my *** off, dying out there for this. Just 2 or 3 more coats of clear and I'll be driving out somewhere to take so nice pics.

Big D good job dude!
Why did you take the clear off? No need unless it was peeling. The clear is a better base coat then just the bare aluminum. I used to custom paint wheels all the time with automotive paint. You just clean and sand the clear.
Your wheels look like they are permanently brake dusted.

Anybody else think they might look better in black?
The stock wheels looked like **** Jeff. There were holes on the clear, curb rash, dirt that nothing could take out. Trust me, if I thought it would work I'd just spray over the stock wheels. Instead I wasted all day on this and I think I might paint them black tomorrow.

I noticed that everyone likes the freakin' POLISHED lip. I have nothing against it but it's sort of a BLING thing. I wanna do all black, no lip. Of course after that I could just sand the paint off the lip to satisfy all the kids out there. BTW, also completely blacking out the clearance light tomorrow, tinting the DCs, tinting front BURGER, and maybe tinting the red-clears and headlights. I'll see what I can get done.

I think that looks really good. Since I have Pebble Beige, I will probably keep them the way they are, though. I know this is way off topic, but did you just get a new paint job or something? I don't see a single scratch on that thing.
It's still too damn hot so I think I'll leave them for now. As for a new paint job, I wish. The car hasn't been washed in about a week but it's till clean besides all the dust. The shine is what a day of prepping and waxing gets you. Trust me, I got scratches out *** on that thing. BTW, I'm not sure if I can do the polished lip. Two of the wheels have terrible curb rash right on the lips. I'll see if I can sand it down.
