Installed Injen and a code poped up???
Yesterday I installed an Injen Intake and everything went smoothly... But when I started her I got a check engine light... I pulled the code and I got 1302 which is MAP/BARO Switch Solenoid Valve??? What is this??? Whats a MAP? The sensor? Anyway Im stumped. Is this normal? And another question is that If I reset the ECU the code shouldnt pop up again right? thanks for your input...

OK here we go..............
A MAP is a manifold air pressure sensor, its jobis to read the air pressure in the intake manifold. How it works is the ECU sends a refrence voltage, usually five volts, to the sensor. A pressure sensitve resistor in the sensor reduces the voltage, by having vaccume applied to it. When the ECU gets the reduced voltage back, it enterperets angine load.
Thats what a MAP is...
What you have is a problem with the MAP/BARO selonoid.
A baro is the same thing as a map but it measures the atomosphereic pressure outside of the engine.
Anyway, The solinoid, switches the ECU reference signal back and forth from the MAP to the BARO, and vise versa.
These sensors are only used for onboard diagnostics, and should only produce an annoying CEL, and shouldnt affect the way the car runs
Sorry for the technical babble, but I try and tell my girlfriend this stuff and all she wants to talk about is clothes or some crap like that, so I have to do it to someone.

LOL!!
96MaxDaddy thanks for that info as long as it doesnt mess with the way she runs... Its just annoying to see that light... Would having this Intake do this to the sensor?
Nadir I took the battery completly out. connected every sensor back and then reinstalled the battery... Im going to mess around some more... I'll disconnect the battery again and mess with the sensors and start over??? Im getting aggregated!!
But thanks guys for the feed back and info, I really didnt know poop about the MAP??
Any other suggestions are welcomed...

I have the injen intake, and have no cel. What I would do is go look at everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, to see if you left something disconected.
Then what you have a problem with is the solenoid, that switches the reference signal, between the sensors. You shouldnt have any problems with the sensors themselves.
If you still are having trouble, then go to the store, and buy the most powerful tool of all............a service manual.
