Use AE pedals on other Nissans?

Does anyone know if all (or any?) Nissan's use the same size pedals? I want to put some 20th AE pedals on my '87 300ZX (5 spd) and my '00 Frontier (auto). Any idea if they'd bolt up?

If you have a 5th gen Max, then take your stock pedal covers off and try to put them on your other car and see if it fits. When I put them on my 3rd gen I had to modify the brake and clutch pedal and discard the spring on the gas pedal. But they ended up fitting great.

I don't have much access to a 5th gen anymore so can't really remove them.
What did you have to modify? Why did you have to remove the spring and how does it work without it?
When you order the pedals, they're just covers, right?
