This has been discussed briefly but I wanted to make a separate thread for this...Does it reduce the detection at all if you mount the radar detector in a way that it is viewing through the darker tint at the top of the windshield...various places that sell them claim no but I just wondering if anybody has opinions.

 

I don't believe that mine has any negative effects at all.

 

No effect at all.
I use one of mine inside my motorcycle jacket with an earpiece and it works just fine.
