Buy HS headers or keep Cattman ypipe???

I've been hearing so many good things about the HS headers these days........... i currently have a cattman ypipe for my 2k3.. and im trying to decide whether to sell it and go for the HS headers ... or just keep my ypipe......
has anyone on here gone from the ypipe to the headers? is it worth the extra money?? thanks

I've gone from Cattman Y (which I loved) to HS headers. Definitely worth doing power wise. Noise levels however are increased and because of the removal of 2 pre-cats, passing inspection may become a problem.

Wait... why would the headers cause you to fail emissions?

Wait three months wait for us to come out with our full stainless 3.5 V6 header.

Trust me, it will be worth it!

Bryan,

Do you have a list somewhere so we can get notified to come check out your headers? If so I'd like to be on that list.

It probably has something to do with removal of catalytic convertors...

Just the precats though. The car would have to fail by visual inspection and 99.9% of the people who work at E-check stations wouldnt know the difference.

Guys,
What precats do is get the system working faster and make the main cat last longer.

My RX7 showed no difference with the precat removed and that is a dirty engine
I would bet it makes no diff. if yer motor was warmed

Actual tailpipe emissions have nothing to do with it here in GA (for OBD II people). We who have OBD II just get plugged into...that's it. No sniffer test at all.
