Nissan Pays!!! Thanks Forum!!!

Hello all,

This forum kick $#@...I read a thread last week that said Nissan covered a reflash out of the 3/36 warranty- I called and said if you did it for one...do it for all...well I got an operator in a good mood (It appearantly matters who you get- because I've called before and brushed off) Anyway, not only are they reimbursing me for the reflah $75- but the receipt I faxed for an 0/2 sensor I installed (sice the light was still on after the reflash) for $125.00 they are covering it too!
All in all, almost $200 is on it's way to me- within 14 days!

FINALLY NISSAN STEPPED UP AND DID THE RIGHT THING!

Thanks Forum...

Sweet...always good to hear. I got a refund from NMAC when I had to get my rotors cut due to the warpage. Dealer denied me, and I had it done by a mechanic. NMAC go the full reimbursement out to me within a week.

Sweet- my experience up to this point was always very negative but maybe they are changing their stripes...we'll see.

I think your right...this Nissan dealership i go to in my area started asking me if they wanted me to wash and detail my car after my service..I particually been going to this dealership for over 3 years and not once have they ever asked me to do a service for me. I turned them down twice because my car stays cleans most of the time, but i think i will let them do it if i have to go back.

Hey that is great if they are, its about time they step up to the plate!!!

The reflash is covered as long as the ECU is covered. That is why they did it. I think the ECU is covered for 7/70. Check you manual.

I used to write service for Nissan.

That is probably why they were so willing to refund you the money.

3/36 bumper to bumper
5/60 powertrane
Lifetime seatbelt
and then all the emission crap..

Again check your manual!

Look in your warranty booklet that came with the car and owners manual. Your Ecu controls all that "emissions crap", so Nissan covers the ECU in the emissions warranty.

Good job on the goodwill.

Ok, I stand corrected. Actually for CA it is 7/70, but for FED spec (me included) is 8/80 wich is good. The "long term defect" FED warranty covers ECM and CAT only. California spec cover a whole mess of things..

I wonder, does that mean that dealer will re-program ECM for free, say for 6sp hesitation TSB?

Thanks for pointing warranty out.
