Which wire do I cut for the Drop Resistor??

Which wire do I cut for the Drop Resistor??
There are two, does it matter which one I cut? Im just gonna make a single pole switch not the WOT since I dont plan on using very often......

One wire is green and red and one is black and white. Im pretty sure it dosent matter I just wanna make sure
