I have been seeing that a lot of Max owners put tranny coolers on their cars. I know a lot of them are souped up. But does someone like me who wants to keep his essentially stock need one? If so, what would be the benefit?

Another tranny question is concerning shift kits. When I had my Caprice, I wanted to put a B&M shift kit to sharpen up the shifting. I may consider that on this car but I am also curious about Don's Valve Body Recalibration. I know the recalibration is most effective, but I want to know the primary issue which necessitates that.

the purpose of the tranny cooler is to keep you transmission at a lower temperature which in turn will lengthen the life of the tranny (or at least it's supposed to)
it is a good mod for any auto car, especially if you drive hard
the maxima's auto tranny has it's share of problems to begin with so I would recommend any auto max do this for a safety measure since many auto trannys seem to die after a while (not that this will completely stop that, but it most likely will make it last longer)
it doesn't cost that much and installing it doesn't seem that bad (I haven't done one since I have a 5spd)
