I head it can be a real pain to change the head unit on max's with the bose system. Is this true? And what if I wanted to? I know one of the guys here has the Awia mp3 cd-player, so it can't be that hard right? And what would I have to change for all of it to work?

 

It's not a "real pain". All you need to do is get the proper adapters. Any stereo shop can help you with this. They can get you the right pieces to interface an aftermarket head with the BOSE speakers and vice versa. I just wouldn't pay anyone to install it. It's really not hard at all to do yourself.

 

This is in the wrong forum, but no biggie. It's not a terrible pain to do, but you need line level converters so that you can use an aftermarket HU, with the BOSE speakers. You need 2 of them, and they are around $30 to $50 each. Most Car audio dealers can get them or may even stock them. DO a search on here and you can get more info.
