I agree with knight71, need to know the code to understand, but the valve itself usually is fine. I've see more bad solenoids than bad valves. A hand-vacuum pump can test the valve easily.

You wanted to know where it is located. I tried answering a post just like this for another guy a week ago but couldn't get the hosting to work right... (now fixed!!) These pics are for the 95, but expect it should be close enough.

The red arrow points at the EGR. It is difficult to reach.

if you are getting a egr code it is most likely the erg sensor located around the same area

I have an 0302 code. Is that the code for the valve? According to the haynes manual it says "Egr insufficient or excessive flow detected." When I rev the engine, the valve does not move at all.

Simply cause you're an ***. My ISP went down at 1:20, few minutes after that post(ORG clock is off by 30 some minutes). After that my dad's car broke down and he needs a new starter/ignition switch so I was in the garage for 5.5 hrs diagnosing the damn problem. Come and see for yourself since you live around here, *******. Next time just shut your hole.

These are straight from the FSM, not the biggest pic but it should give you an idea where it is and what it looks like. If anyone wants I can send a PDF for 1005, or any other problem you have.

Code 0302 is a *****..I had that not long ago...It could mean a # of things..not likely the EGR valve itself..My prob was solved by replacing EGR solenoid valve.

Check the stickys on code 0302...Good luck!!!

No need to get so excited... I purely replied to a post of yours in the same manner in which you replied to a post of mine - in which I had basically stated that I would get the original poster some info in a short while... don't like it when someone sticks it back to you eh?
