4th gen springs on a 5.5th gen?

Sorry if this has been asked. I tried to do a search, but it would not let me. I just need to know for sure if the 4th gen suspension will fit on a 5.5th gen. This includes the Tein H and tokio illuminas? I have looked at them and they appear to be the same, But i want to make sure before i make a purchase from a friend.

its the same thing, except for the rear spring. The opening on the rear spring on the bottom is larger on the 4g to be able to fit on the larger perch on the shock. You'll probably need a 4th gen shock to ensure a correct fit.
Spring rates are also different so the car will drop more.

I've been told that neither the shocks nor the springs are transferable from the 4th gen to the 5th other than Killer2002se said

The rear shocks are interchangeable but the fronts are not. The holes for the lower bolts that goes into the steering knuckle are further apart on the A33 chassis. The front springs are interchangeable and the 4th Gen rears would fit on the A33 if you use Koni shocks.

Rear shocks are interchangable, fronts are not. But you can use a 4th gen spring with a 5th gen front strut. THe only front strut that is available for the 5th gen from a 4th gen would be the Cattman Modified KYB AGX. At the time I bought mine, that was the only adjustable shock available on the market., so thats the route I took.

I have been searching and found this thread.

If I have 4th gen struts and springs, will the rear springs fit in the upper strut mounts that came on the 5th Gen? Will the front struts fit if I am willing to drill-out the front strut flanges to fit the spacing that the 5th Gen requires? Will the front 4th gen spring fit in the upper strunt mount?
