"How To" hard wire your radar detector in your 2002-2003 Maxima

It is a brief description with pics. It is pretty easy to do. If you want the radar mount for your Bel or Escort radar detector contact my buddy Mike at mike3348@adelphia.net They are $20 shipped each.

On your How To you said that the 00-01 doesn't have the auto DIMMING REAR VIEW MIRROR, mine is an 01 and it has the auto dimming.

then it must be just the 2000 Max that doesn't have it. I had a 2000 and it didn't have it. Changed the info on cardomain.

Damn maximadave, can your friend Mike not make a universal mount? How do these things attach to the radar detector because I think it could work with mine. Just let me know what you think or send me some more detailed pics to: barryfly@excite.com

Thanks

The radar mount is inserted at the bottom where the screws are and held tight.

Thanks maximadave, Later on I'll check out my radar detector to see if it will work which I'm pretty sure it will work with any detector if you don't mind drilling new holes in the detector mount. I have to go to work right now, but I'll probably be paypaling the money tomorrow morning.

Kruppa I too have a big system so I'll get back to you on the rattle.

I don't have a ton of bass (just a basslink), but my rearview mirror and radar detector rattle pretty good...

Screw radar detectors. Not even the V1. The cops have their radars off and just follow you.

Not only that but in CA they use VASCARS system which negate the use of any
radar detectors. They use mile markers to determine your speed. In Kentucky
they are so devious they use microwave frequency to give you false sense of
security. Your radar detectors goes off on a random signals until you think
one of thoses random signal isn't a cop and that's when you get nailed.

If you rely on your radar detector without regard to you being aware of your
surrounding you will get a ticket. Let the idiots who think they can speed get
the ticket you use your radar detector responsibly.
