Just swapped motors..wont start

I just got it in and new oil all the way around all connections made. she spins but wont crank, its getting fire and fuel ( I smell gas after turning in over for 6 seconds) the motor has sat for some kind of time because the oil filter was dry. And this is the weird part the radiator fans turn on for 1 second after you let off the start position and all the dash lights will not turn off even with the key out and off. What gives? I've pulled the hot off and tapped the brake 30 times very fast to drian the caps and still same thing after it spins over once. (91 se)

According to the year of your car, you should have the VG motor but I saw you were asking about VE motors before, so if you have a VE this is what we did to get a VE motor started after a swap. I swapped, N34JZ's motor, using a JDM motor. The car would just crank like you describe but not turn over. It was discovered that the Cam Positioning sensor is different, so we swapped the old one in and it turned right on.

you mean she cranks but won't fire/run?

check your electrical connections. distributor timed correctly?

you pulled the hot off? no idea what that is. what caps did you need to drain after tapping the brakes 30 times?

the lead to the battery (hot) and the caps are small capasitors on the board of the computer that store memory by tapping the brake pedal rapidly with no battery it drains the cells to really clear the memory. and yes it will turn over but will not start getting fuel getting fire.......did you just change the cam sensor or did you do the crank too?

woah..that's a new one for me. no idea what the brake pedal has to do w/ draining the memory on the ECU. can't you just pull the ECM fuse and wait 5 min?

tell us...do u have a VG or a VE in the car now?

the sohc VE. the fuse works also but the pedal drains all the memory from the ecu. Some head way on it I have compression, and a very leaky injector, while doing the comp. test it was sparying fuel out 3 feet across the bay from the spark plug hole after we pulled the fuel pump fuse. the cylinder was full of fuel, so now pulling the intake mani and fuel rail....any other ideas? She tries to start when you first hit the key then stumbles and dies runs for maybe 1 second and won't try to start after that already changed all the ignition components off the old motor.....I got nothin

Cylinder full of fuel?
fix that first and then try to restart, even if that cylinder is disconnected.

the sohc VG..... the cylinder was full of gas and I got it to start but the exhaust is full of gas and it smokes like a damn train. and its gas fouling #6 and running rich on 2 and 4 so I pulled the plugs and letting it dry out some over night. in the morning I'll drop the exhaust to see how the cat looks cuz it was smoking from the cat aswell as out the tail pipe...large amounts of smoke like can't see the ground below you.
