wiggly axle

thats the technical term i believe...

since this is in the rear tire... i'm a bit lost, it's not part of the driveaxle... so not a cv joint bit again. i know not to waste everyone's time with that one, i have done quite a bit of combing here and there on this one and am still lost:

today after straightening out of turns, I felt a light 'wump' from my rear
right tire. or so i thought. i blocked the front tires, jacked up the rear and removed the right tire. i pulled off the drum (GXE) off and spun the axle by the lug bolts, finding it a bit sticky... but with no play at all.
for a moment i was confused.
then i took off the left rear tire. right away, the sucker had wiggle in it. i pulled the drum there and found that the axle to be loose, moving up and down, left to right, instead of just spinning... though it spun much better than the right side.
the question is... where am i going with this? besides the dealership i hope

FIXED IT!

after finally prying off the sticky dust cap, i found out that over time the axle lug had come loose on its own. Anticlimactic in the best possible way.
