got new subs, started building box's

well i finally choose equipment for my new system

2 alpine type R subs wired 2 2ohm
2 kenwood 7251's they are 460 watts rms at 2 ohm

the amps have their gains turned down to put out 400rms the subs are 300rms but i got a warrenty so who cares lol

neway the box is starting to be build and it should be a totally awsome custom setup when its all done, i will keep everyone up to date on the progress of everything and will post some pictures when its all done

better to give them more power than to underpower them. he should be fine if he doesn't turn his volume all the way up

the alpine type r can definitly handle more power. do you have the 12 inch type r? I have 2 12 inch alpine type r powered by a jbl 600.1 @ 1 ohms. It's in a sealed box and it sounds awesome. Are you going ported or sealed?

^^^ in that situation have fun with your system. they SHOULD handle the power fine but dont start blowing up subs because its fun.. it will get annoying. my friend got his type r's from CC and when he had a jbl600.1 on 1 12" type r he blew them 3 times. but he got 2 type r's in a 2 cube sealed box and they are solid.
