speaker level to rca converters

is it possible to not cut the factory wiring harness while installing these?

also, what would I use for the remote turn on lead for the amp?

edit: headunit is factory bose unit. the main idea behind this is so I can possibly run an amp for a sub

you don't need to use a line-out converter if you have bose. you can just splice your rca's into the low level speaker outs behind your deck and run those into your amp.

I have exactly what you need. You can't use the Bose pre-amp level signal because they are a balanced signal.

I always stock these, PAC (Pacific Accessory Corporation) AOEM-NIS2. They plug directly into the back of the Bose head unit and give you two pairs of RCA outs. The signal quality you get out of these does not compare to a high-low converter that uses a speaker level signal and just drops the voltage.

$39.95 shipped.

my question still stands, what do I use for a remote turn on lead with the factory bose, and with this setup?

you just tap into the harness on the PAC unit.
