Do you have stock guage faces? Also, do you have any pics? Sorry I couldn't answer your question, but I've always wanted to keep my black guage face in my I30 and have blue light come out instead of an off white light. Was never sure if it was possible to do or not. *shruggs shoulders*

the se's from 97-99 have red (amber/orange) needles. Blue will not go through so the needles wont light up. either change the needles or the bulbs or live with it.

this is what araffio told me a while back:

"98-99 gauge clusters do not use 194 wedge bulbs in the gauge cluster, we have much smaller wedge bulbs which are hard to find. It's possible to solder in 194 bulbs to ours though."

Just to double-check and make sure before I start ordering, it's this one correct:

T13-B6 Blue LED bulb 12VDC Blue 6-LED Wedge Base bulb measure 1 1/8 long by 1/2 inch maximum diameter (194/168 type)

i should note that i actually had problems with the first batch of them that i ordered. some of the led's stopped working, but some still worked. on the same bulb even. like, four of the six led's on the bulb would work. this happened after like three weeks. but, i should also note that they took care of it very fast. i called them and told them what happened, and they sent me a new set asap!

at first i had a problem with the new ones too, but i just had to bend the metal contact wire over a bit. been working great so far!

Oh ok, I found it now. I was just lookin at the blue colored base LEDs, so I skipped over that thinkin it was a white LED, not knowing it was actually 4 different color types to choose from. Thanks again man. I appreciate it.

don't forget about the hot spots too. just so your not surprised the first time you turn them on. i was. you get used to it though. if you look at the pic you can see them. they are pretty bright. i think it's worth it though.

Is that them on the 30, 100, 2.5 and 7? To me, if that IS them they don't look too bad. Is it extremely bright in person or just a little bit of a noticeable difference? But yeah, either way, regardless it still looks hot. LoL, no pun intended.

you can always sand the leds to make the beam pattern/viewing angle wider.

I can see the hotspots, but do they illuminate the needles and odometer window evenly?

I have reverse indiglos in there right now, awesome but I need a brighter, and even source for just my needles and odometer window (1995 SE).

Guttermouf5150, are you able to dim the cluster still, or are the led's at the same luminosity all the time?

Now I know what I'll be ordering tomorrow...

Quick question, I have a '96 GLE, how many of these LED bulbs do I need for the entire cluster? Stupid me when I had the damn thing out on the table the other night I never counted the amount of bulbs in there.

you need 5 of the led bulbs, and yea they do dim from the dimmer switch.

oh yeah and i can see the odometer just fine. and as you can see, the needles light up just fine too.

i was driving tonight, and i noticed that they aren't quite as bright as they look in that pic. they are bright, just that they look a little brighter in that picture.

Guttermouf5150 i have a custom made midpipe...just a piece of intake tubing left over from a friend and 2 nipple/barb thingies from homedepot. To finish it off a breather filter and Arospeed coupling and reducer.

I have sanded the leds, did it for my climate control. No hot spots at all.

My fault Guttermouf5150. I forgot that the White SE Gauges are the same style as the regular Stock Black ones. This whole time I thought you had black ones and put the Blue LED's in. Either way it looks hot, but I want to keep my stock gauges, but still have Blue LED's. Would this work or no? Has anybody tried this or have this?
